Spoke Too Soon
Well, sadly enough Dallin was a one time hit wonder. We are now back to square one with no pooping in the potty nor in his underwear (gratefully). He just holds it in until night time when he knows he gets a diaper. I would get rid of diapers all around but I am not up to changing sheets every morning. He still wakes up soaking wet. So either I need to be patient, which I don't like, or I can take some advice from anyone who thinks they might have any. Just an FYI, bribery does not work for this 3 year old. I guess I could duct tape him too the toilet. Totally kidding. But honestly girls (since I know it is just women who read this, except for Doug) if you have any suggestions please feel free to let the flood gates open.

Pooping in the Potty!!!
So potty training my little big Dallin has been quite the test of my patience. I never thought I would be so excited about poop. Who would of thought?? We have struggled with Dallin since August to have a bowel movement in the toilet and he refuses. He got a little case of the runs in August, and since then, I am assuming he has been traumatized. Needless to say, it really has driven me crazy. After babysitting my 2 month old nephew in December, it is just sick and wrong that I am wiping (a then almost 3 years old) bottom. The diaper thing just drives me crazy. He would urinate in the toilet all day long, but never poop. "I can't!" are Dallin's favorite words. So I gave up and put him back in diapers in September. He just thought that was peachy. That drove me nuts too. The last 2 weeks, since Doug is out of work, we figured it would be a lot easier to try now since both of us are home. Yeah right. Every day has been long intervals of sitting on the floor in the bathroom telling him to push. No luck. Same thing, different day. He would pee all day long but he was not going to poop on the toilet. Once we put a diaper on, he would poop within 5 minutes. We have bribed him with anything and everything. Still nothing. I was cleaning up after dinner tonight and Dallin yells, "Mom, come and see my poop!" I am thinking, "Great! He pooped in his underwear." I run into the bathroom and he had finally gone poop in the toilet. I was screaming, and clapping my hands. Even Doug was freaking out. I was so proud of him. (Dallin not Doug) He was looking at me like I was a an absolute head case. I am sure some of you can relate how to elated I was when I finally saw HIS poop IN the toilet. Not even a trace in his underwear. I am really not trying to be crude. I am genuinely so excited! I have never had a child who has refused to go in the toilet. Anyway, this is definitely journal entry worthy. YOU ROCK DALLIN!!! That just made my day. Hopefully he can make my day for the next 85 years to eternity.
