A Lot of Nothing

So there hasn't been anything real eventful this last month. Which is a really good thing I think. Kabrynna did go to the dentist on Friday, but luckily she didn't have an episode from the "laughing gas". She is getting so big so fast. It is a little sad sometimes. Dallin thankfully has pooped in the toilet a few times this week which has helped me put a smile on my face, but I won't be crossing my fingers ever for a repeat act. We never know day to day what he will do. Chaden is getting ready for the pinewood derby (I guess I should say Doug is getting ready for the derby). Chaden has just been hanging out, and doing boy stuff I guess. We still have not had luck in finding another job yet, but I have to say we have been so immensely blessed through this time. We have had so many calls from people asking him to do small electrical jobs and a few bigger jobs. Doug is so great and does whatever he can to get out and earn some money (it gets a little old sitting home everyday.)It is so crazy because we have lived in Arizona for 4 years and he has not done any electrical and now all of the sudden we have plenty to sustain and get us through for right now. I just want to say thank you to all those who have thought about us. It really means a lot that so many have called us on job openings, etc. It can be stressful some days but all in all, if we try to not focus on the negative and what we have been blessed with it sure makes life a lot easier. It is like the talk that Elder Wirthlin gave called "Come What May and Love It". As hard as it can be it is a lot easier to do that than live feeling sorry for our self. In the end it always works out.
I serve as the Laurel advisor in my ward and we had New Beginnings on Tuesday and then Youth Conference through this weekend. The youth never cease to amaze me. They have such great spirits and most have such strong testimonies. I didn't have what they had at their age. I know it is because of what I chose to be, but in the same they are so fabulous that they choose to be a light unto others. I feel so blessed to serve them, and they truly lift my life. They teach me more than I teach them. New Beginnings was great. The theme was on being a light keeper. Youth Conference was awesome. The theme was "Be Thou an Example of the Believers", which is the church wide theme for this year for the young men and women. We have had some great inspirational messages relayed with lots of food and fun for the kids. We went on hike that seriously kicked my butt and showed me how out of shape I am. I gotta do something about that problem. That pretty much wraps things up. Hopefully I can start getting some good pictures so that I have something to post that you don't have to read.

Our friend Mindi had this on her blog. Doug and I laughed so hard we wanted to share it with the rest of you. We thought it was so fitting because Kabrynna is going to the dentist this Friday to have some major work done. She'll have a little of what he had. Funny or Scary?? Too bad we don't all have that much innocence and ask "Is this going to last forever?"
